Z80 Simulator

Need a copy of CP/M running on your Windows computer?

There’s an excellent simulator by Udo Munk (http://www.autometer.de/unix4fun/z80pack/). The only problems I had with it were:
– I couldn’t get the one available Windows build to work for me.
– The Cromemco configuration didn’t have a Windows build.

Long story short: I did some hacking and slashing of a copy of the source code and got that version running.

You can download a Windows binary from cpm/z80sim/z80sim.exe. It is just one file. It doesn’t need any DLLs (other than what you already have on your computer).

Udo made it Free Open Source Software, so you can get a copy of my modified source code from cpm/z80sim/. Just pick a ZIP and download the source for that version. (Version 0.00 is the original, which should be an identical copy of Udo’s release 1.35).

The directory also has a cpm/z80sim/z80sim-run.zip. If you don’t like setting things up and figuring out how to run them, this will unZIP into a directory with a disk, bootstrap loader, and a run.bat file. Just double-click run and you’ll be running.

This is part of the CP/M topic.
